Thank you for purchasing tickets to attend our 7th annual event. We are excited to put the FUN in fundraising for the Murfreesboro Kiwanis. Oaklands Mansion, 900 N Maney Ave, will be a beautiful backdrop for our event. We wanted to provide you with some important information regarding the event and hopefully answer any questions you may have.
PARKING
Parking for ALL guests is at Oaklands Park. Please park and follow the sidewalk through the yard at Oaklands to join us.
If you require handicap parking, please follow the drive into the mansion grounds. We will direct you to accessible parking. See the image below.
We are excited to offer Ride Guy Transport for our guests who don’t want to walk from the parking lot. John will have two black SUVs running to bring people from the parking lot to the welcome table. After you park, stand under the pavillion and wait for either service to return and save your feet for clue-hunting.
ARRIVAL
General Amission tickets arrive at 6 pm. We will have a registration table where you will check in and receive everything you need for the night. We will have a guestlist for all ticket holders, but have your emailed ticket confirmation handy, just in case of human error. BE PREPARED TO SHOW YOUR PHOTO ID. The event will start at 6 pm with check-in and we will all gather on the front lawn to begin introducing our characters and sponsors at approximately 6:20 pm.
VIP GUESTS, your arrival time is at 5:00 pm for an extra hour with the characters!
SPONSORS are VIP ticket holders. We will have a separate check-in for you. All tickets will be held under the sponsors name, so just tell us who you are representing. BE PREPARED TO SHOW PHOTO ID.n
ATTIRE
There is no dress code for our event. Our characters will be dressed to kill, that is for sure. You are welcome to dress as your favorite CLUE character OR as a detective, if you want. Our characters will be looking for the best dressed Clue character, from the movie or game. Two lucky guests will win a $50 cash prize! We cannot wait to see you all!
YOUR TICKET
Your General Admission Ticket includes entrance to the event, heavy appetizers, TWO drink tickets and ONE guess card.
Your VIP Ticket includes entrance to the event, heavy appetizers, FOUR drink tickets and TWO guess cards.
We will offer a Cedar Glade Brews draft beer, wine (red, white or moscato) and a special vodka cocktail called “The Whodunit” and a bourbon cocktail called “The Myrtle.” Both cocktails will have a sober option using Ritual Zero Proof. We will have tea and water for non-alcoholic options in Maney Hall, with the food. You can buy more drink tickets at our “Welcome Table” for $5 each or five for $20. Our bartenders are donating their time for the fundraiser, so be sure to bring some cash to tip them well! They will also have a Venmo code to scan.
You can also buy more guesses the evening of for $5 each or five for $20 (cash, venmo or tap to pay). If you get stuck, you can buy a clue at the guesses table. There will be two $25 clues, a $50 clue and two $100 clues.
SOLVE THE MURDER
We have released the backstor and character bios through our web page and it will be in the program at the event. If you want to freshen up on the story before you arrive, go to our website BoroClueParty.com You will wander about the mansion and interview the characters for clues to who the murderer is, what room it happened in and what weapon was used. There will be clues throughout the mansion for you to find, all are marked with yellow evidence tents. Pay attention to the clues!
PLEASE NOTE: The mansion is a historic site, so please be mindful of your drinks inside the mansion. There are authentic artifacts throughout the mansion as well, so be sure not to touch anything, lean on older pieces or sit on older furniture. There will be a few chairs throughout the mansion that are free to sit on and they will stand out from the rest. If you wonder if it is safe to sit on, it probably isn’t! We have cocktail tables in and out of the mansion to set your drink on and take notes. There are also tables and chairs outside on the lawn and inside Maney Hall for you to sit and ponder the murder. SILENT AUCTION
We are hosting a silent auction to raise much needed funds for the yearly Kiwanis budget. Please stop by Maney Hall, where the food will be, and check out some beautiful curated baskets, centered around our Clue characters! All money raised helps children in our community. The auction will be open from 6 pm to 8:15 pm.
NEW COMEMORATIVE BOTTLES OF BOURBON
In our 7th year, we love seeing our guests return year after year. Some have made it an annual tradition. To celebrate the annual event, we have added etched bottles of Gentleman Jack for purchase. For a $100 donation to Murfreesboro Kiwanis you can take one home with you. We had ONLY 50 bottles made, so get yours before they are gone.
